A reworking of the iconic musical brings the 80s back to life.

-It’s one of my favorite projects. The words belong to Ben Adams, the lead singer of pop group a1.
He talks about Eugenius!, the 80s-inspired musical he wrote together with Chris Wilkins. A fully staged production received its premiere at The Other Palace in London in 2018.
It’s an 80s-inspired musical about a kid who writes comic books. Additionally, it can be considered a fun tribute to 80’s films, comic books, and nostalgia. The show gained a cult following from an audience of fans who were hooked on the catchy tunes and funny script.

Featuring a stellar cast, the show returns to the stage, this time at The Turbine Theatre, next to the iconic Battersea Power Station. The premiere is set for Friday 17th March.

Eugenius! is a thrilling, high-energy 80s-inspired British musical with a superhero-sized heart and an uplifting score. Eugenius! is a show where geeks rule, dreams do come true, and everyone finds the superhero inside themselves.
The Turbine Theatre wants to be the spark for talented voices. It is also passionate about playing a role in Battersea’s emerging arts community.

In 2019, I spoke with Ben Adams about a1 and Eugenius. -It’s one of my favorite projects, he said. He loved sharing the experience with the audience. -It is really nice to sit among all the people and enjoy it with them.
