Magic Mike’s Last Dance – Is Channing Tatum worth your money?

If you’re gay, yes. If you’re a woman, yes. If you’re a straight man forced to watch the movie with your girlfriend, probably not. Here’s why.

Written by The magical Michael Hartmann. February 18, 2023.

Eleven years after he started stripping, Mike is bartending in Miami…

A couple approaches him at the bar. The woman remembers him from 2012…

… when Mike worked as a professional stripper…

-I will examine your eyes with my flashlight.

His past is back to haunt him. Enter Maxandra Mendoza, played by Salma Hayek Pinault:

-Join me! I’m wearing my best hat!

After bringing him to London, Maxandra asks Mike to direct a show at her theatre. This is where Magic Mike could get really interesting. Instead, we are subjected to Maxandra’s endless speeches about her creative visions. It’s exhausting.

When the dancing begins, the movie gets steamy. Whenever Channing is on the floor, he kills it!

Then, the show ended. The movie ended. My desire to hang around in the theatre ended.

Is Magic Mike worth your money?

If you’re gay, yes.

If you’re a woman, yes.

If you’re a straight man forced to watch the movie together with your girlfriend, probably not. The next movie will be worth your money – even if Channing keeps his shirt on.
