Claudia Scott wins her third Norwegian Grammy

Yesterday, English/Norwegian singer and songwriter Claudia Scott won her third Norwegian Grammy Award, this time for a country album called The Belle Of Singapore.

She won her first Grammy in 1985 and her second in 2014. With her third Grammy, Claudia solidifies her title as «The Queen Of Norwegian Americana».

Claudia’s musical journey is an inspiring tale of persistence and talent. Born in England and raised in Norway, she discovered her passion for Americana music at an early age. She pursued her dreams, honing her skills and cultivating her unique sound.

Each Grammy award is more than just a trophy; it’s a symbol of her resilience and the love she has for her craft.

PS: Did you know that my mother was Claudia’s elementary school teacher? Yes, she was!

Whenever Claudia appeared on TV, my mother was visibly touched and filled with love for her former student. She loudly stated that “I taught Claudia to read and write.”

Getting to know Claudia has been a wonderful experience for me. Her music brings back memories of my mother.
