This is an updated story. Once in a while, a male singer comes along with a voice so beautiful it’s breathtaking. One such voice belongs to Bjørn Olav Edvardsen.

He started his musical journey on Norwegian idol in 2005 and followed up with two appearances on The Voice Norway. After hearing him sing, one of the judges said: – I wasn’t sure if I was listening to a man or a woman.

That is a compliment!

I managed to have a conversation with Bjørn Olav at Oslo Central Station – of all places!

By talking with me, before boarding his train, Bjørn Olav showed me how much he appreciates his fans and followers. In our conversation at the station, he talks about Turn Off My Heart, the beautiful music video, and more:

Bjørn Olav didn’t make it all the way to the Norwegian final this year, but his stunning performance on Norwegian TV proved that he has one of Norway’s most entrancing voices. Since he started performing live in 2005, he has clearly reached new audiences.

Here’s the live performance from yesterday’s Melodi Grand Prix semi-final:

Here’s the song and the video. Enjoy!
